Mutton - 1kg
Potatoes - 2(small chunks)
Onions - 2
Tomatoes - 2
Green Chillies - 4
Ginger and Garlic pate - 2tsp
Curry Leaves - 1sprig
Mint leaves - 1cup
Coriander Leaves - to garnish
Coconut Paste - 1cup
Coriander Powder - 4tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1ladle
Method
Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel.Add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.After frying them splutter the curry leaves.
Saute chopped onions till they turn translucent and add the slit green chillies.Then add the ginger garlic paste and saute them with the onions.
Add the mutton pieces and fry them for 10-15 minutes.The mutton pieces gets half cooked.
Add Coriander powder,chilli powder ,salt and turmeric powder.Fry the masala so it blends well with the mutton.

Then add the potatoes.Add water and boil them with closed lid for 10 -15 minutes.Check if the mutton is cooked well
At this stage add Coconut paste on a medium low flame.and close the lid and keep it on a low medium flame for another 5minutes.
Garnish the muttion kurma with coriander leaves which is optional.Kurma goes well with Chappatis and Idly
