Black Gram(dehusked)/Urad dal - 3cups
Onions - 4 small(chopped)
Green chillies - 1-2
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Ginger - 1tsp(finely chopped)
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2cups(for deep frying)
Method



Take neat cellophane sheet. Apply oil on it. Slowly tap round patties on it and make a small hole in the center. Put it in hot oil.
Fry the Vadais in medium flame.Turn it over and fry the other side also.
(Tip:Usually I half fry the Vadais and take them off from the oil.After doing the same method for all the Vadais ,I then again put the half fried Vadais in the oil and fry them till they turn golden brown.By doing this method the quantity of the oil absorbed by Vadais can be reduced.This is just an optional method .Else Just fry them once turning it over on both sides till golden brown)
