Rice

Serves - 4

Ingredients

Rice - 1 cup
Water - 3 cups

Method
Take one cup of rice and clean it once or twice with water.


Put the rice in a deep bottomed vessel and fill the vessel with 3 cups of water.




Place the vessel over the stove on a high flame and let the rice boil.

A frothy top surface appears when the rice boils. At this point switch off the stove and place a lid over the vessel.

Leave the vessel as such for 20 minutes and check whether the rice is cooked by pressing it between you fingers.
Then again switch on the stove and allow it to boil.Once it boils switch off the stove drain off the water by decanting / straining. Make sure to remove all the water before serving.
 Cooked Rice  can be served with veg/non-veg curries/gravies
